July 2009 refresher

There will be a session for part-time MA students on Wednesday 01 July at 3.00 pm in the main library at Peckham Road on using library and information resources for your research The session will help you get more from the library’s collections, especially finding periodical articles and e-journals, using databases such as JSTOR and Art Full Text, how to access national, specialist and academic libraries’ collections, and anything else you would like us to cover about finding information. We will also look at how you can access resources online and off-campus and up date you on the changes that will be happening to the current off-campus system, ATHENS. MA staff are also welcome!

Library plasma Screen

The library at camberwell has a plasma screen which is on all day.
They are keen to show student work in DVD format.
Anyone who's interested post here and we'll help get the work shown on the screen.

I think it would be a good idea if, after the MA Forum is over, that the short videos are edited together as a sort of showreel / promotion of the course.

Library Book Request

You can request any books you think the library should purchase.
Write down full title, author, date of publication and an ISBN Number, and hand it into the library.
They will buy it for you whatever it is - usually takes about 2 months to arrive.
This is an amazing (and underused) service - i've ordered 10 already.
